What is God Like?

Psalm 140

v. 1, 4: He rescues us and protects us from the evil and the violent

v. 5: He does not lay traps and ensnare people.

v. 7: He is Sovereign

v. 11: He does not slander

v. 12: He secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy

v. 13: He reserves a place in His presence for the upright.

Psalm 142

v. 1-3: God patiently listens to our laments and watches over our way when we are exhausted.

Psalm 141: The writer begs for God's help in his great distress and clings to his integrity. He will not say or do evil just because He is in pain.

Psalm 143:1-12

v. 1: God is faithful and just

v. 2: God is perfect. No one living can stand before Him in their own righteousness.

v. 10: He makes the path of life clear; His Spirit is good.

v. 12: His servants can ask Him to have their back.
