Today's Reading

1. What is God Like?

Psalm 30

v. 1-3: God is able to rescue from deadly danger, to restore health, and to restore peace.

v. 4-6: His anger is fleeting; He does not hold onto it. It is hard to lose His favor.

v. 7: Life comes from God. When He hides His face, life and light are gone.

v. 11-12: God listens to cries for help and transforms mourning into dancing.

Psalm 32

v. 1-2: God can forgive sin but requires honesty and confession.

v. 3-4: God places pressure on people to confess.

v. 5: God hears confession and forgives guilt.

v. 6-11: God protects, guides, and loves those who confess their sin and turn to Him for forgiveness.

Psalm 42

v. 8: God is always surrounding us with His love.

v. 9-10: Sometimes God delays showing up in obvious ways to defend us
